Shattering Established Opinions.

My strategy is simple.

Never tell a person they’re wrong. They’ll spend the rest of the afternoon trying to prove they’re right.

Instead, ask a question, offer them a chair, and let them explain themselves.

If they’re particularly stubborn, pull up a chair. This could take a while.

I’ve always believed you don’t have to win an argument to change someone’s mind.

Sometimes you simply have to let people discover the contradictions in their own reasoning.

After all, an established opinion is only as strong as the questions it can survive.

And some shatter with just one.
