Have you ever liked a villain more than the hero? Who and why?

Monday has been cast as the villain for generations. Poor thing walks into the room and everybody groans.

Monday has been accused of being manic, miserable, dreadful—the enemy of happiness. Friday gets songs, celebrations, happy hours, and “TGIF.” Monday gets blamed for the alarm clock. Friday barely has to accomplish anything and receives applause simply for arriving.

But give Monday a holiday?

Suddenly everybody adores her.

Monday becomes the hero—the extra day, the long weekend, the morning that belongs to us.

Perhaps heroes and villains are sometimes matters of convenience.

What a delightful piece! And, the artwork just tickled me pink! I was so fortunate to have a job that I loved, so Mondays were never the villain in my life. Fridays, though, now that was the day. I loved taking my staff out for happy hour after work on Friday. Beautifully written!

Really creative, fun to read but it also made me think about perspective.
