I am the book.
I have been reading myself for years.
Some chapters I understood immediately.
Others required glasses.
Yet, I love every ridiculous edition and every badly written chapter.
There are pages I have reread so many times that I could recite them from memory, and others I turned too quickly because I wasn’t ready to understand what they meant.
There are characters I thought would remain until the end.
They didn’t.
There are chapters I was certain would ruin the entire story.
They didn’t either.
And perhaps that is what makes this the longest book I have ever read.
I am still becoming acquainted with the main character.
That is the trouble with a long book.
Eventually, you discover the author has changed.
I am the longest book I have ever read.
