If you could erase one event from history, what would it be?

An artist doesn’t erase.
We paint over it.

One stroke changes the canvas. Another crosses it. Colors meet, layers build, and traces of what came before may still show through.

History feels much the same.

There are strokes I would never choose to repeat. Some changed the entire canvas. Some left marks we are still painting around.

But erase one?

I wouldn’t.

I’d pick up the brush.

Paint has memory. What lies beneath changes what is placed above it. A color deepens. A texture appears. An old line finds its way into something new.

You don’t have to erase what came before to change what comes after.

History is still on the canvas.

And there is still room to paint.
