I wish I could say I have one favorite pair of shoes.

But maybe the beauty is that I don’t.

There isn’t just one pair.
There’s one epic journey — and within it, a rotating cast.

A quiet ensemble living in my closet.

Each pair represents a version of me.

There are the ones that change my posture and lengthen my stride — the ones that make me stand a little taller and speak a little clearer.

There are the everyday beaters — dependable, unfussy, built for long days and real life.

And then there are the ones that go with everything — the quiet harmonizers.

Even the shoes at the back of the closet contribute to the story.

They’re the retired versions of me.

None of them are the favorite.

Because the journey isn’t about choosing one.

It’s about knowing which pair to step into —
and which ones to leave behind.
